Welcome to my online portfolio. This is a site to display work done through-out my university education, and anything undertaken since.

I am 21 and at the end of my university education. I am just finishing a top-up degree in Performance (costume and make-up). I would like to specialise in costume and corsetry.

I am a keen sewer, and enjoy many different aspects of sewing. I can use commercial patterns as well as drafting my own.

Thank you for taking the time to look at this page, if you have any queries please feel free to contact me at lil_holton@yahoo.co.uk

Shakespearean Portrait

Our first Make-up and Costume brief of the university semester was to find a Shakespearean Portrait and re-create it. I chose a miniature of Lady Jane Grey to reproduce.
Original:

 My image:
When the original photo was taken I was not particularly pleased with how it came out as the lighting was completely different to the original portrait.  Once I managed to get hold of the images, I played about with the lighting on the image in Photoshop and managed to make it look a lot more like the original.  I'm very please with how it came out this time and I feel that it looks much better than the photo taken on the day.

FMP

I haven't been on here in a while because I've been working hard on my Final Major Project.

For this I decided to recreate the costumes for 2 characters from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. I wanted to go back to basics and read from the original book, rather than from the many adaptions that there have been.

I created for Alice and the Mad Hatter.

This week we have been working hard at the Malvern Festival Theatre doing the costumes and Make-up for their productions of 'The Witches'.

In the run up to Christmas we were busy working towards finishing the costumes and make-up designs.
